Adult shirts and tank tops have a unisex fit. To choose, take a shirt that fits you well, lay it flat on a table and measure from armpit to armpit (double it for the chest) and from shoulder to hem (the length). Compare with the chart.
If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one: the dry-fit knit shrinks a little after the first wash. For kids, the size number matches the approximate age of the child, but check the height too.
